Senior Battery Systems Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer for Battery Systems to spearhead innovative projects in the automotive sector. This role demands a combination of technical expertise and leadership abilities to drive the development of advanced battery technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a dedicated team of engineers, offering technical direction and support throughout the project phases.
  • Project Oversight: Manage project schedules, track progress, and liaise with project management teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
  • System Design: Create system architectures and technical strategies for state-of-the-art battery systems. Assess risks and formulate contingency plans to address potential challenges.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with both internal and external stakeholders, providing project updates and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Your ability to articulate complex technical concepts will be crucial in fostering collaboration and driving project success.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Experience in the automotive industry, especially with German OEMs, is highly valued. A solid understanding of lithium-ion battery systems is essential.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical, thermal, and mechanical principles related to automotive battery systems (BEV, PHEV, HEV) across various voltage ranges (48V/400V/800V).
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with good command of German, possessing exceptional communication skills. A strong team player with a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
