As a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems, your responsibilities will include deploying C/C++ machine learning solutions on both PC and embedded platforms. You will be tasked with crafting high-quality, thoroughly tested, and efficient software in C++ for our AI/ML software stack. Key activities will involve optimizing neural network runtimes through techniques such as quantization and pruning.
Additionally, you will focus on enhancing the scheduling of multiple neural network models across various device cores. Collaboration is essential, as you will work within an Agile software development team (SCRUM) alongside Machine Learning Engineers, System Engineers, and Software Engineers.
Your Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess a Master's degree in computer science, embedded systems, or a related discipline. Strong software development capabilities in C++ are essential, along with a commitment to producing clean, well-tested, and well-documented code. Experience in integrating various software modules into a cohesive system is required, as well as a solid understanding of process scheduling, threading, pipelining, and resource allocation.
Technical Expertise:
Familiarity with computing hardware architectures, including CPU, GPU, DSP, NPU, SoC, and AI accelerators is necessary. Proficiency in English, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, is also required. Practical experience with Linux, version control systems (such as Git), build systems (Make, CMake, Autotools), and code review tools (Gerrit, Gitlab, Bitbucket) is highly valued.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in image processing, computer vision, and multi-view geometry is advantageous. Additionally, familiarity with automotive or robotics middleware, such as ROS or Adaptive AUTOSAR, is preferred. Experience with neural network inference engines like ONNX Runtime, TensorRT, or TFLite is also beneficial. A solid understanding of artificial intelligence, model development, and evaluation, along with knowledge of at least one common machine learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) is desirable.
