Laboratory Technician

Position Overview:
As a Laboratory Technician / Biological Assistant (m/w/d), you will play a crucial role in our Quality Control department, specifically within the Microbiology & Pharmacology team. Your expertise will contribute to the development and assurance of high-quality pharmaceutical products.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations and characterizations of pharmaceutical products, stability assessments, and reference standards.
- Perform cellular biology, molecular biology, and protein biochemistry tasks, including cell-based assays, qPCR, and ELISA.
- Ensure compliance with GMP standards through accurate data recording, graphical representation, and statistical analysis.
- Document and monitor laboratory results within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Review batch documentation following a four-eye principle.
- Assist in the creation of quality assurance documents and other GMP-related materials.
- Participate in the qualification and validation of laboratory equipment, processes, and pharmacological transfer projects.
- Adhere to Ph. Eur., JP, and USP guidelines, as well as internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Calibrate, maintain, and service measuring instruments and equipment.
- Organize and oversee external contract laboratories.
- Support safety initiatives within the workplace.
- Manage the procurement and organization of laboratory supplies and equipment.
Your Qualifications:
- Successfully completed vocational training as a Biological Technician (BTA), Laboratory Technician, Medical-Technical Laboratory Assistant (MTLA), or Pharmacist.
- Several years of professional experience in cellular biology and pharmacology is preferred.
- Practical experience with automated laboratory workstations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with GMP-compliant documentation is desirable.
- Proficient in both German and English, with strong communication skills.
- A structured, reliable, responsible, and goal-oriented approach to work.
- High levels of teamwork, flexibility, and resilience are essential.
- Competence in using standard MS Office applications and database management.
