Principal Engineer R&D Concept Engineering for Semiconductor Power Modules

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Infineon Technologies. As a key member of our R&D Concept Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative power semiconductor modules.
Key Responsibilities- Develop innovative concepts for power semiconductor modules based on new product components and/or specific circuit configurations.
- Independently develop conceptual solution proposals based on product requirements with a holistic view of the interaction between semiconductor properties, parasitic electrical elements, thermal bonding, and lifetime considerations.
- Actively support the setup, electrical commissioning, and testing of prototypes from the power semiconductor and electronics areas.
- Collaborate with colleagues from the power chip, integrated circuit, and module housing development areas.
- Support product management in creating specifications for new products.
- Actively transfer knowledge and exchange best practices across organizations.
- Prepare, present, and discuss new ideas and concepts with/for internal interest groups.
- A successful university degree in electrical engineering or physics, ideally with a focus on power electronics.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in the field of power semiconductor or packaging technology.
- In-depth knowledge of power electronic components such as IGBT, MOSFET, and diodes based on silicon or SiC.
- Experience in interpreting electrodynamic interactions in the power electronic context.
- In-depth experience in power module development.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German, enabling effective communication across roles and functions.
