As we expand our operational capabilities, we are looking for a dedicated and proactive Tactical Controller to join our team. This role will be based in our Hamburg Office and will offer an indefinite contract, providing a stable and rewarding career path.

In this position, you will have the chance to engage in various aspects of flight operations. Starting as a Tactical Controller, you will have opportunities to advance into other roles within the Operations Control Center (OCC), including flight following, fleet scheduling, operational feasibility, or even as a Duty Manager, overseeing comprehensive aircraft operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Head of OCC, the Tactical Controller is responsible for managing the tactical phase of flight operations, which commences on the day of the flight and concludes after all post-flight activities are finalized. Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining and updating the daily tactical log
  • Overseeing movement control
  • Tracking and monitoring flights
  • Addressing irregular operations by managing delays, diversions, last-minute changes, and other disruptions that may impact the schedule
  • Ensuring crew briefing acknowledgments and making necessary crew activations or wake-up calls
  • Monitoring Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) restrictions
  • Managing flight re-routing
  • Coordinating ground arrangements and permits that are required for the day of flight
  • Handling ATS Flight Plan management
  • Conducting weather monitoring

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Business Aviation sector, preferably in Flight Dispatch or Flight Planning
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working under pressure
  • Proficient English language skills to facilitate clear communication with stakeholders
