About the Role
As an Electrical Technician at 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of protection, control, and metering technology in our network area. This includes all protective, control, and metering devices that enable the operation of typical transmission network components, such as transformers and compensation devices. Your tasks will include planning and executing safety measures, coordinating and supervising external contractors, and parameterizing protective, control, and metering devices according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute safety measures, including de-energizing and de-circuiting of substation equipment
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors performing maintenance and repair work
- Parameterize protective, control, and metering devices according to specifications
- Participate in complex functional tests and troubleshooting
- Perform switching operations on the network to enable safe working conditions
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship or technical training in electrical engineering or energy technology
- Experience in operating high-voltage network equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent German language skills (minimum C1 level)
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and relevant testing and parameterization software
