Your Responsibilities...
The Director of Business Process Optimization will be instrumental in refining business operations throughout the organization. This role necessitates close collaboration with senior executives and managing directors to boost productivity, minimize operational costs, and enhance overall efficiency, particularly in air and ocean freight sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a process-oriented mindset, a focus on key performance indicators (KPIs), and strong communication skills.
Your Contributions Will Include...
- Assessing, designing, refining, and executing business processes to enhance operational productivity and achieve cost reductions annually.
- Collaborating and mediating with operators, supervisors, senior leaders, managing directors, and other stakeholders to identify and implement innovative process enhancements.
- Leveraging experience in air and ocean freight operations to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Utilizing data analysis to identify trends, evaluate process performance, and drive ongoing improvements.
- Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure processes align with business objectives and performance expectations.
- Leading change management initiatives to facilitate the seamless implementation of new processes and systems.
- Translating concepts into actionable strategies and executing projects effectively, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Managing interfaces between various systems and processes to guarantee smooth operations.
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of process improvement professionals to achieve departmental objectives.
- Communicating effectively across all organizational levels to promote process improvement initiatives and secure stakeholder engagement.
- Traveling nationally to various company locations to oversee and implement process enhancement projects while maintaining effective communication with the corporate office and other branches.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations, business process management, process engineering, or a similar role within the logistics sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in enhancing productivity and optimizing processes.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process mapping tools (e.g., Excel, Visio).
- In-depth understanding of air and ocean freight operations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Capability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with management consulting practices (preferred).
Key Role Highlights
- This position offers a permanent full-time contract with a 40-hour workweek.
- A company car (VW Passat or equivalent) will be provided.
- Enjoy 30 vacation days per year.
- National travel may account for up to 20% of your time.
