Procurement Manager for Carbon Capture Projects

Job Description

E.ON Energy Projects GmbH is a leading company in the design, financing, building, operating, and optimizing of decentralized, large-scale power generation plants for industrial customers. With over 20 years of experience, we have successfully implemented projects of more than 1 gigawatt across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial projects to implement large-scale carbon capture plants at industrial sites and power plants across Europe.
  • Manage contracts and claims, including setting up commercial specifications, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of contracts, supported by legal and technical specialists.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with the project management and business teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements
  • University degree or similar with a solid commercial background and knowledge of tendering and procurement procedures.
  • Several years of experience in commercial project and contract management for process plant construction, energy industry, or related sectors.
  • Strong purchasing capabilities, including experience in challenging and complex working situations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work independently, and willingness to take initiative.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to enter technical, process engineering areas, and specifications.
  • Fluency in English and German, with knowledge of other languages a plus.
  • Proficiency in SAP BI and SAP Materials Management, as well as excellent MS Office skills.
