Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled E/E Software Development Expert for our Battery Management System (BMS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the BMS software for our HV Batteries.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of BMS software at the project level, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Steer BMS software suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Update BMS functional specifications and requirements to reflect changing project needs.
  • Coordinate BMS software functional contents with the HV Battery development team.
  • Manage BMS software release processes according to project milestones.
  • Manage BMS software modifications to improve performance, address new regulations, or adapt to changing boundary conditions.
  • Ensure BMS data management aligns with project needs and progress, including data structure maintenance.
  • Support BMS release validation processes, manage specific software bundles, and coordinate HiL or vehicle testing activities.
  • Perform BMS software application and calibration activities on vehicles.
  • Represent the team in internal and external meetings, ensuring clear communication of project responsibilities.
  • Manage project scheduling, issue tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Report to management and customers on project progress and performance.
  • Analyze and evaluate performance to identify areas for improvement and recommend changes.
  • Collaborate with other departments and work teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage the escalation process for issues, proposing effective solutions.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in Automotive Electric & Electronics SW functions and components development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in BMS SW functions and components development.
  • Good knowledge of Automotive OEM processes, including the V-model, release processes, fault correction processes, and software change management.
  • Knowledge and experience in function development and application.
  • Experience in understanding customer requirements.
  • Ability to take on responsibility, work independently, and share achievements with the team.
  • Capacity to organize and motivate a team, depending on needs and situations.
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to synthesize information, priority management, proactivity, flexibility, and resilience.
  • Intermediation capacity between teams.
  • Decision-making skills combined with assertive and persuasive leadership.
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to anticipate, manage critical situations, and provide effective solutions.
  • Negotiation skills.
Preferential Requirements
  • Knowledge of vehicle software architecture.
  • HiL testing and validation experience of E/E software.
  • Knowledge of error analysis for the complete vehicle.
  • Functional Safety and Cyber Security knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience in the ISO26262.
  • Strong experience in supplier steering.
  • Tool knowledge: MathWorks MatLab / Simulink, CAPL, and Vector Tools (i.e., CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer), Requirements & SysML Tools (i.e., DOORS, Cameo, etc.), and Ticketing Tools (i.e., Jira).

  • Education: Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken German and English are required. Knowledge of Italian would be appreciated.
