Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Thesis student to contribute to the development of an energy system model at Robert Bosch GmbH. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in investigating the role of sector coupling in the future energy system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model the decarbonization pathway for a sector (transport, heat, hydrogen and its derivatives) in different scenarios.
  • Extend the existing model framework to include new features or constraints.
  • Implement the scenarios into an existing energy system model to investigate the impact of sector coupling on other areas of the energy system.
Requirements
  • Master studies in Industrial Engineering, Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Strong intuition for Energy Economics and knowledge of Operations Research and Mathematical Modelling.
  • Proficiency in coding experience in Python for data science applications.
  • Collaborative, structured, analytical, and independent personality.
  • Enthusiasm for energy economics and decarbonization strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
