Your Impact:
  • As an EHS Specialist for Contractor Oversight (m/w/d), you will oversee construction projects in the areas of civil engineering, infrastructure, and plant construction, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • You will promote adherence to occupational health and safety regulations through regular site inspections and maintaining strong communication with on-site contractors.
  • Your role will also involve advising and providing technical support to project owners and managers in identifying appropriate measures to mitigate occupational health and safety risks during new and renovation projects.
  • You will conduct incident investigations, including root cause analysis, contributing to the continuous improvement process of contractor management and ensuring the sustainable maintenance of contractor oversight.
  • Preparation of mandatory documentation as per construction site regulations will be part of your responsibilities.
  • You will work closely with the team of safety professionals for Heraeus locations in the Rhein-Main area.
Your Qualifications:
  • Degree in natural or engineering sciences, preferably in safety engineering or civil engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in the construction industry, ideally with project experience on civil, infrastructure, or plant construction sites.
  • Certification as a safety specialist (m/w/d), ideally with additional qualifications in structural fire protection and workplace law.
  • Certification as a safety and health protection coordinator (SiGeKo) according to RAB 30.
  • Proficient in VOB, HOAI, relevant standards, and technical regulations.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, persuasive, assertive, reliable, and communicative.
  • Desirable: Experience in practical hazard prevention and managing operational disruptions.
  • Willingness to participate in the EHS on-call service in the Rhein-Main region, requiring a valid driver's license.
