About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Assistant to join our Process Development team at Ascend Advanced Therapies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of downstream processing technologies for the production of gene therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chromatographic purification of recombinant adeno-associated viruses (rAAVs)
  • Application of filtration techniques, such as sterilization and ultra-/diafiltration
  • Preparation of buffer solutions and performance of process-relevant analyses to determine the qualitative and quantitative properties of produced rAAVs
  • Documentation and evaluation of experimental work
  • Presentation of results to the team
  • General laboratory organization and maintenance, including equipment responsibility and material procurement
  • Work with organisms of risk group 1
Requirements
  • Hold a BTA, MTA, CTA, or ATA qualification, or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in a relevant field
  • Have a quality-conscious and organizational talent for planning, conducting, and documenting experiments
  • Be able to work effectively in a team and have a willingness to work with chromatography systems
  • Practical experience with chromatography or TFF systems is an advantage, but not required
  • Have good German and English language skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
