About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Munich. As a key member of our Infrastructure Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our global network and server infrastructure. Your expertise in networking (Cisco, Fortinet), server infrastructures (VMWare), and analytical skills will enable you to handle incidents and quickly identify the root cause.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network infrastructure (Firewalls, Switches, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain Virtual Server Environments (VMWare)
  • Implement and maintain scalable storage solutions
  • Proactive monitoring of key services and addressing alerts in a timely manner
  • Patch management and ensuring security vulnerabilities are mitigated in line with our approved patching strategy
  • Perform disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity
  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex support queries from other engineering teams
  • Engage with issues to solve them in a timely manner using your analytical skills

Impact and Contributions

  • Ensure smooth running of network services across Albelli-Photobox
  • Responsibility for the Network (Firewalls, Switches, Wifi), Servers and Storage infrastructure as well as monitoring and software used to manage the infrastructure on a global scale

Experience and Attributes We'd Like to See

  • Strong understanding of Network Infrastructure (Firewalls, Switching, Wifi)
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server configuration and maintenance
  • Good understanding of Storage Area Networks
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to NetApp and Veeam technologies will be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Fortinet products is a plus
  • Experience managing and maintaining Highly Available environments
  • Self-motivated and able to learn new tech while maintaining a high standard of delivery
  • Get it done attitude, while keeping in mind the impact of changes
  • Great experience in highly available and complex network/server environments
  • Experience with Cloud computing (AWS)
  • Familiar with security updates/patching techniques
  • Great analytical skills
