We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Digital Twin Based Lean Construction Logistics Expert. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative logistics solutions for high-density goods in urban environments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement digital twin-based lean construction logistics systems for efficient supply and disposal of urban construction sites.
- Design and optimize logistics strategies to minimize the number of trucks and packaging materials through consolidation centers.
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to specify a generic center system architecture and derive good-specific variants.
- Implement a software-based tool for creating and optimizing digital twins, utilizing edge devices and AI methods.
- Collaborate with the Chair of Materials Handling, Material Flow, Logistics to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
- Master's degree in a relevant area such as Mechanical/Industrial/Civil/Transportation engineering, Logistics, or equivalent.
- Experience in process analysis, lean logistics, digital twin development, IoT-data acquisition, and handling.
- Proficiency in using modeling and simulation tools like SysML, UML, Plant Simulation, or AnyLogic.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and publish research papers in relevant high-ranked journals/conferences.
The successful candidate will be enrolled as an active doctoral candidate in the TUM Graduate School and will have the opportunity to spend time at the main TUM Campus in Munich, Germany. The scholarship is tenable for one year in the first instance and is renewable subject to good research performance.
