We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Design Engineer to join our team at Volocopter GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the mass and center of gravity of our aircraft meet the required targets and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain weight and balance tools to support the design and development of our aircraft.
- Support the definition of aircraft preliminary architecture for new projects, ensuring that weight and balance requirements are met.
- Perform weight control throughout aircraft development, including mass properties estimation and bottom-up calculations.
- Define and support weight and balance envelope definition to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and document weight and balance results for internal use and certification purposes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Weight and Balance, with a strong technical background.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Aerospace, with a focus on aircraft design and development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD mechanical software such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or Solid Works.
- Basic knowledge of System Engineering and Requirements Engineering principles.
- Strong understanding of technical aspects related to aircraft systems and composite, and metallic structures.
