As a vital component of our organization, software developers at Walaris tackle complex technical challenges utilizing cutting-edge technologies. They are responsible for creating real-time machine learning and image processing systems while continuously innovating software solutions. Collaboration within cross-functional and international teams is essential to meet and exceed customer expectations.

We are currently seeking a Software Developer (m/f/d) to join our team:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement real-time AI/ML image processing systems tailored for airspace monitoring and drone detection, characterized by high data throughput.
  • Continuously innovate and propose enhancements to our software architecture, focusing on back-end improvements to boost performance and address new customer needs.
  • Integrate our software platform with various sensor and actuator systems.
  • Define project scopes for subcontractors and oversee the development services provided.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the requirements of internal stakeholders from R&D, sales, and product management.

Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Extensive experience as a software developer specializing in real-time image processing, particularly in AI applications.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming using Python or C++, with hands-on experience in frameworks such as PyTorch, Flask, GStreamer, and Deepstream.
  • Strong background in software development on Linux platforms.
  • Experience in creating unit tests.
  • Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD tools, including GitLab pipelines or Jenkins.
  • Excellent English communication skills, a self-motivated work ethic, and a passion for teamwork.
