IT Infrastructure Monitoring Specialist

- As an IT Infrastructure Monitoring Specialist, you will be an integral part of the BAUHAUS Corporate IT team, tasked with managing and enhancing the monitoring framework for IT services and infrastructure.
- Your role will involve maintaining connections with other IT systems and integrating various data sources to ensure seamless operations.
- Responsibilities will include establishing dashboards, performing regular maintenance, and generating reports and alerts to keep stakeholders informed.
- You will play a key role in designing and implementing monitoring solutions that assess the performance of IT systems, while also providing guidance and communication to users.
- In addition to your focus on infrastructure monitoring, you will also engage in platform automation and process oversight.
Requirements:
- A degree or training in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT, or a related discipline.
- 1 to several years of experience in IT, particularly in monitoring roles such as Monitoring Engineer, IT System Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Checkmk or Splunk is preferred.
- Knowledge of monitoring IT systems including Linux or Windows Server, network devices, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- A structured approach to work, with the ability to understand complex situations, connect relevant information from various areas, and create a cohesive overview.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and openness to collaboration.
- Proficiency in German (at least C1 level) and good command of English.
