Amer Sports is in search of a seasoned (Senior) PMO Consultant to manage the IT project portfolio across our brands and group functions. This position is vital for establishing and promoting best practices, implementing the PMO methodology and toolset throughout the organization, and assisting senior leadership in strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will enhance the execution of IT initiatives through enforced methodologies and standards, ensuring comprehensive and consistent management reporting.
Key Responsibilities- IT Project Portfolio Oversight: Manage the IT project portfolio for designated brands and group functions, ensuring accountability and adherence to best practices.
- Implementation of PMO Methodology: Deploy PMO methodologies and tools across the organization for effective project portfolio oversight.
- Continuous Process Enhancement: Regularly refine and uphold the Amer IT PMO framework, applying central best-practice processes and toolkits (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Testing tools).
- Performance Evaluation: Monitor and report on the performance of project teams, ensuring all IT project components and deliverables align with the business case and quality standards.
- Support for Major Initiatives: Collaborate actively with significant projects and programs as a dedicated PMO consultant.
- Tool Support: Provide second-level assistance for the PMO toolkit and manage individual projects as required.
- Consultative Role: Evolve into an in-house consultant for comprehensive project management.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT project management or PMO-related roles.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and IT architecture.
- Exceptional presentation abilities, both visual and verbal.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong strategic, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Technical knowledge of systems and software development.
- Professional dedication and enthusiasm for advancing the PMO.
- Expertise in IT project and portfolio management.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Understanding of business processes across various functions such as Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
