Senior SAP AFS SD Consultant

As a Senior Consultant, you will serve as a key authority on sales-related matters, actively participating in various stages of the consulting process.
Your role will involve extensive engagement in gathering requirements, conducting Fit-gap workshops, defining processes, and proposing viable solution alternatives. You will collaborate across multiple streams to refine and enhance the proposed solutions.
Additionally, you will be instrumental in developing Cookbooks for sales, preparing functional specifications for both development and configuration, and overseeing the deployment of comprehensive solutions.
Your expertise will guide teams through project methodologies, deliverables, and contribute to development proposals, client training, and internal capability enhancement, while also helping to clarify project scopes.
This position offers the chance to craft valuable consulting solutions that empower our clients to adapt to the evolving global landscape.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in SAP SD and AFS, with a strong background in rollout or implementation projects.
- Ability to independently configure AFS SD functionalities, including Seasonality, Allocation Runs, Order Management & Fulfillment, Delivery Processing, Billing, and Pricing.
- In-depth knowledge of Future Orders, Contracts & Call-Offs, Reorder, Promotions, and Returns management processes.
- Experience in translating business requirements into functional specifications and managing the complete development lifecycle from blueprint to go-live, including gap identification and impact analysis.
- Familiarity with interface development in order booking and delivery processing.
- Solid understanding of master data and its dependencies on MM and FI in relation to AFS/Retail.
- Experience in migrating sales orders, customer master data, and seasonality configurations.
- ABAP debugging skills for reverse engineering purposes.
- Experience in large-scale global projects with significant customization.
- Ability to lead workshops focused on business discussions and guide consultants in AFS SD while coordinating with remote teams.
- Effective communication skills in both English and German are preferred.
- Knowledge of FMS or AFS and familiarity with trade terms relevant to the AFS sector.
- Full lifecycle implementation and rollout experience in a multicultural international environment.
- Certification in SAP Sales & Distribution is advantageous.
