Technical Global Solutions is collaborating with a reputable European construction firm that has established a strong presence in the industry for over four decades. This company has successfully executed numerous significant projects across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, food production, mining, and data centers.
In light of ongoing expansion, they are in search of a Contracts Manager with a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) background to oversee critical construction projects, particularly in the data center domain, throughout Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in tender handover and project initiation meetings.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of all contract details and specifications.
- Ensure clarity of individual roles within the project team.
- Develop and manage Project Delivery and Commissioning Schedules.
- Oversee the Request for Information (RFI) process and lead the final design phase.
- Prepare technical submissions and ensure timely approvals.
- Guarantee procurement and delivery of significant items align with the project schedule.
- Manage financial budgets for assigned projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Quantity Surveying team on labor packages and cost forecasts.
- Establish and maintain a labor tracking system.
- Conduct weekly site visits to assess progress and quality.
- Update progress reports weekly and compile monthly high-level reports for senior management review.
- Formulate commissioning and closeout plans for both direct and subcontracted work.
- Evaluate subcontractors and suppliers for project suitability.
- Ensure timely delivery of Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
- Document all potential Research and Development activities.
- Attend monthly commercial review meetings.
Qualifications Required:
- Background in a trade or engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical).
- Demonstrated experience in construction or project management roles.
- Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite.
- Experience in leading project teams effectively.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
