Within Bruker Nano, one of our four operational segments, we cater to academic and governmental institutions, life sciences, materials, and applied industries. Our offerings empower clients to ascertain the properties of matter and visualize molecular structures. The divisions under BNANO encompass Bruker AXS, Bruker Nano Analytics, Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology, Fluorescence Microscopy, and Canopy.

Bruker RMR stands at the cutting edge of technological advancements. We are engaged in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of sophisticated nanomachining and laser-based photomask repair solutions, alongside CO2 cryo-cleaning technologies for photomask and wafer applications in the semiconductor sector. We are currently in search of a highly proficient Manufacturing Technician to enhance our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic boards, firmware, and software for electronic systems.
  • Conduct analysis, implement design enhancements, and test the aforementioned systems.
  • Provide support to manufacturing and field engineers in troubleshooting.
  • Prepare engineering change orders.
  • Design both digital and analog circuits.
  • Select components for the specified designs.
  • Utilize schematic capture software (OrCAD required) for electronic designs.
  • Execute layout design using PCB layout software (OrCAD required).
  • Identify alternative components due to shortages or obsolescence.
  • Assemble card assemblies for manufacturing.
  • Construct prototype circuits.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic assemblies.
  • Develop test equipment to validate electronic designs.
  • Create diagnostic programs for testing PCB assemblies.
  • Write code for microcontrollers (8051 variants preferred).
  • Debug electronic circuits.
  • Collaborate with vendors.
  • Order laboratory supplies.
  • Assist software and mechanical engineers with new developments.
  • Generate documentation using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • A degree in Electronics Engineering with 2-4 years of experience or a degree in Electronics with 4-6 years of experience in the electronic domain.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture.
  • Experience in PCB design.
  • Familiarity with electronics lab instrumentation and testing methodologies.
  • Preferred experience in hand soldering SMT, through-hole, or equivalent technical skills.
  • Relevant experience in the precise assembly of electrical and/or electro-mechanical devices.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow assembly procedures, circuit schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Capability to recommend alternative electronic components due to shortages, obsolescence, or extended lead times.
  • Proficiency in assisting with component sourcing and purchasing.

Appreciated Skills and Tools:

  • Expertise in electronics design and integration with sensors.
  • Experience in programming microcontrollers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for customer and supplier interactions.
  • Basic knowledge of communication interfaces (RS-232, RS-485, SMBus, I2C, USB, TCP/IP).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, and Microsoft .Net.
  • Experience in simulating and debugging digital and analog systems.
  • A problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficient in English with a collaborative team spirit.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to work in standing, sitting, and walking positions for the majority of a scheduled shift.
  • Occasional work in a clean room environment may be required.
  • Ability to push a cart weighing up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
