Safety Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at STABL Energy, a pioneering company in energy storage solutions. As a Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our battery storage systems.
Key Responsibilities- Fire Suppression and Detection: Design and implement fire extinguishing systems, fire detection solutions, and remote fire detection/prediction technologies to prevent potential hazards.
- Gas Detection and Venting Systems: Develop, install, and maintain gas detection systems and gas venting solutions within battery containers to prevent potential hazards.
- Explosion Mitigation: Design explosion-proof panels and safety mechanisms to handle high-risk situations.
- Fire Control Units: Manage and enhance fire control units to ensure rapid and efficient response to fire-related incidents.
- Emergency Procedures: Define, document, and regularly update emergency response processes in line with safety best practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all safety systems meet regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., ISO, CE, UL) and are designed to get approval from local and international authorities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the hardware, firmware, and product certification teams to ensure safety systems are seamlessly integrated into the overall design and function.
- Fire Extinguishing Systems: Experience in implementing automatic and manual fire suppression solutions.
- Fire and Gas Detection Systems: Expertise in modern detection systems for early identification of risks.
- Explosion Panels and Gas Venting Systems: Understanding of explosion safety systems, particularly in enclosed energy systems.
- Remote Fire Detection/Prediction: Knowledge of predictive safety technology and remote monitoring tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of safety certifications and designing products for regulatory approval.
- Emergency Process Definition: Experience defining, testing, and improving emergency response protocols in industrial settings.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in safety engineering in the energy, industrial, or battery storage sectors.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record in fire suppression systems, gas detection, and explosion-proof technologies.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
