We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Construction Calculator:in to join our team at STRABAG AG Direktion Brückenbau. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for calculating and estimating the costs of bridge construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess tender documents and projects, identifying technical and contractual risks and opportunities.
- Independently calculate the costs of bridge construction projects, taking into account various factors such as materials, labor, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates and budgets for bridge construction projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure accurate and timely cost estimates.
- Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and recommendations to improve project profitability.
- Prepare and present cost reports and analyses to project stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and optimize cost estimates.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in bridge construction cost estimation and calculation.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and cost estimation software, such as RIB iTWO.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex cost estimation issues.
