Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Dispatcher to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating emergency responses to fires and other incidents on our military bases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the electronically controlled emergency desk to receive and respond to emergency calls
  • Manage and coordinate emergency responses to fires and other incidents
  • Execute management, incident control, administrative, and clerical duties
  • Collaborate with other emergency responders to ensure effective response and resolution
Requirements
  • Minimum Basic Requirements: E&T Level I (completed lower secondary school / Hauptschulabschluss) PLUS German certification as basic fire fighter (abgeschlossene Feuerwehrgrundausbildung, gemaess Feuerwehrdienstvorschrift 2 (FwDV2))
  • Completed training in accordance with the guidelines of the US Forces Fire Protection Program
  • HN radio communicator training (Ausbildung zum Sprechfunker gem. FwDV2), dispatcher (FEZ Grundlehrgang) and DoD Hazmat Awareness, Telecommunicator I and II within 1 year of final job offer
  • Language Proficiency Level C1 in English and German
Working Conditions
  • Rotating shift work, weekends, and holiday work required
  • On-call duty required
  • Heavy lifting up to 45 lbs. required
