System Architect Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Architect Engineer to join our team at INEOS Automotive. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development of our product lines, from concept to life cycle management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the system architecture of our product lines, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Lead the system development process, including technical specifications, design standards, and product testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, project, and programme partners, to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of our products.
- Manage and deliver production preparation and quality achievement, ensuring compliance with regulations and directives.
- Monitor and maintain documentation for our product lines, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Attend design and technical reviews, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
- Conduct quality and process assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Develop and maintain processes and best practices related to system requirements engineering and system architecture design.
- Ensure compliance with safety and legal requirements, working closely with safety managers and homologation managers.
- Manage issues within the FRS Release process, ensuring efficient issue reduction and resolution.
- Report non-conforming regulatory issues and provide solutions, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance.
- Strong technical undergraduate degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or other relevant field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in automotive engineering, with a focus on system architecture and development.
- Project management experience, ideally managing international teams.
- Excellent understanding of safety mechanisms, overall vehicle functions, and distributed functions.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with strong technical and interpersonal skills.
- High-level technical communication skills, with experience working with suppliers and partners.
- Experience as an automotive system architect or knowledge of system design, hardware design, software engineering, and/or requirements engineering.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and other relevant standards.
- Experience with modelling tools, such as Matlab, Rhapsody, and Enterprise Architect.
- Experience with defect and change management tools, such as RTC and JIRA.
- Experience with requirements management tools, such as Microfocus ALM and Polarion.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git and SVN.
