Data Center Operations Manager

Overview
As a Data Center Operations Manager at Microsoft, you will play a vital role in supporting the field operations leadership team to implement strategic initiatives effectively at the campus level. Your responsibilities will include ensuring financial planning and conducting performance reviews in line with business calendars, as well as managing scheduling conflicts with various stakeholders.
In this position, you will contribute to the delivery of core infrastructure and foundational technologies that support Microsoft's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. The Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team is dedicated to the personal and professional development of all employees, offering training and growth opportunities such as Career Rotation Programs, Diversity & Inclusion training, and professional certifications.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND relevant industry experience focused on change management processes OR significant industry experience with coursework in supply chain management processes.
Background Check Requirements:
Candidates must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role, which include specialized security screenings.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position requires passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
While not mandatory, we also value the following Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant experience in a 24x7x365 production environment or related experience.
- Relevant experience in datacenter processes and tooling or related experience.
- Extensive experience in supply chain and change control processes.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Technical college degree or certification in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage logistics projects with consistency, evaluating and enhancing productivity, efficiency, and minimizing incidents.
- Oversee the local implementation of projects driven by the regional logistics project management team.
- Structure and support the onboarding and hiring of logistics technicians.
- Assist in IAM process reporting and create consistency across the country.
- Collaborate with EHS Teams and IAM Teams on EHS requirements and share best practices.
- Actively support audits related to ISO/R2A/GSMA and IAM elements.
- Facilitate change and process rollouts.
- Engage in IAM-related projects, including operations, pilots, and requests from the regional IAM project management team.
- Support improvements in Circular Center operations as needed.
- Identify and resolve process issues in deployments and decommissioning projects.
- Assist in onboarding new sites and support management with logistical requests.
