Role Overview:

In your capacity as a BESS Engineer within the Innovation team, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of algorithms that assist our clients in monitoring and managing their renewable energy assets. This encompasses everything from initial design and prototyping to rigorous testing and ongoing enhancement.

Your Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Integrating DNV's expertise in battery storage technology into algorithm development and software solutions.
  • Translating designed algorithms into Python programming.
  • Collaborating closely with GPM software teams to embed algorithms into product offerings.
  • Engaging with customers to identify market needs and ensuring GPM delivers outstanding solutions.
  • Participating in feedback sessions to guarantee that battery storage-specific algorithms are scalable and implementable.

Required Skills:

  • Educational background in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with the operational complexities of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in renewable energy or automotive sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of battery storage operations and maintenance practices.
  • Experience in monitoring and optimizing battery performance for efficient energy storage.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SCADA data processing or battery storage data analysis.
  • Background in energy dispatch optimization.
