**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Processing Engineer to join our team at GMV. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the data processing engineering activities of the EUMETSAT ground segments for the Copernicus satellites.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop, maintain, and evolve data processing systems and applications to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Conduct system engineering of Level 1 and Level 2 processing, focusing on interfaces, processing frameworks, infrastructure, and software releases preparation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate, verify, and validate data processing systems and/or processors for space applications, including the generation of test plans, test specifications, procedures, and test reports for end-to-end processing chains.
  • Design and implement Bash and Python scripting solutions to automate data processing tasks.
  • Write technical documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy of complex data processing systems.

**Requirements**

  • Experience in data processing of meteorological or earth observation satellites, with a focus on Level-0, Level-1, and Level-2 processing.
  • Knowledge of ECSS standards and experience with data processing of the Galileo Mission Segment is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of system engineering principles and experience with software development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
