About the Role
The Internal Audit unit at RWE AG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Auditor Trading Expert to strengthen our team. As a key member of our audit team, you will play a crucial role in delivering risk-based internal audits, particularly in the trading arm of the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver risk-based internal audits, focusing on the trading arm of the Group
- Engage in engagement planning, field work, and alignment of audit results and recommendations
- Evaluate process efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control system across the trading life cycle
- Provide advisory services to the business during regular and ad-hoc audits
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Physics)
- Several years of professional experience as an internal auditor or in a related field
- Understanding of trading, ideally energy commodity trading or trading-related risk management
- Business fluency in English (verbal and written) and ability to summarize complex topics
- Mind-set for challenging existing processes
- Pronounced intercultural sensitivity and ability to convince others
Desirable Qualifications
- Professional certifications (CIA, CRMA, or CISA)
- Experience in front office trading/origination or market risk management
- Knowledge of energy market regulations (MAR, REMIT, EMIR, etc.)
- Knowledge of IT systems and database tools (especially OpenLink, Endur, IDEA/ACL)
