Sports Marketing Assistant Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Manager of Sports Marketing to join our team at adidas. As a key member of our sports marketing team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of new concepts and guaranteeing the activation of assets within the context of associations, federations, and athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the definition of promotion product strategy for associations, federations, and athletes in collaboration with the teams of the certain BU's
  • Report on successes and doubts of future BU improvements
  • Be the contact point in relation to associations, federations, and athletes for issues from service and service-connected departments in collaboration with the Senior Manager
  • Collaborate with the most important departments (e.g. PRS, product, SMSU, CtC-team, global communications, PR)
  • Coordinate the complete associations, federations, and athletes projects and handle prognoses, orders, deliveries, etc. for all events of associations, federations, and athletes
  • Equipment management
  • Coordinate the whole Kit/product approval process with the competition department of associations, federations, and athletes pursuant to the associations, federations, and athletes equipment rules
  • Coordinate the complete licensed product and related communication approval process
  • Define and execute the yearly associations, federations, and athletes activation plans (including licensed product strategy, retail, implementation, global brand, and communication concept and B2B) considering the middle and long-term vision of the adidas brand
  • Guarantee the communication and activation of the event-related rights and duties of associations, federations, and athletes within the global adidas organization and the respective guest market (including management and support)
  • Assist the global sports marketing function in all administrative tasks
  • Act as a contact point in relation to associations, federations, and athletes sponsor families (Coca Cola, Mc Donalds...)
  • Represent the brand adidas and the respective sports marketing category in all associations, federations, and athletes events
  • Act and support as a libero for all event projects and equipment requests of associations, federations, and athletes

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree preferably in Marketing & Business administration or Sports management
  • 1+ year work experience
  • Knowledge of the respective sports marketing category and active interest in the respective sports
