Job Title: Software Test Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Manager to lead our quality assurance team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in software testing, quality assurance, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of test engineers to identify and resolve software defects.
- Develop and implement test strategies and processes to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets performance and quality criteria.
- Manage test-related activities, including creating and implementing test plans and test cases.
- Champion test process improvements and provide training and support for team members.
- Foster collaboration across departments and encourage cross-functional teamwork.
- Prepare and update test strategies and specifications for system tests.
- Conduct and oversee in-house functional and non-functional testing.
- Coordinate the work of contract testers, collate results, and report defects.
- Manage full system integration tests.
- Liaise with engineering teams and clients on project testing matters.
- Prepare and distribute test reports and update user manuals.
- Stay informed about advancements in system test engineering techniques.
- Drive and implement improvements to testing efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English.
- Extensive experience in software testing or QA environment.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven track record in ensuring software releases have minimal defects.
- Experience in managing a team, setting objectives, and leading performance management and development initiatives.
- Ability to produce detailed reports and proficiency with general office software (Word, Excel, databases).
- Strong planning, coordination, and time-management skills, especially under pressure.
Desirable:
- Experience with public transport back-office systems or app/web testing tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with project planning and test support tools like JIRA and TestRail.
Education and Qualifications:
- Degree in a software engineering discipline or significant relevant experience in software testing.
