We are looking for a **VP of Controlling, Business Intelligence & Analytics** to steer our organization towards excellence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Controlling, Business Intelligence, and Analytics divisions, playing a vital part in enhancing the performance of New Work SE. Your expertise in strategic thinking, business frameworks, and operational efficiency will be essential in fostering company growth. If you possess a background in online and marketplace strategies with an emphasis on expansion, you may be the perfect fit for this position.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Controlling, Business Intelligence, and Analytics divisions, significantly impacting the organization's success.
  • Serve as a principal advisor to the executive leadership and heads of business units on strategic initiatives and resource distribution.
  • Provide strategic insights on business models and operational practices to elevate company performance.
  • Proactively enhance performance metrics (both financial and non-financial) by establishing ambitious objectives, ensuring transparency through analytical insights, and advocating for initiatives that yield substantial performance improvements.
  • Effectively coordinate cross-company planning and performance management activities.
Your Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of pertinent professional experience in Controlling, Business Intelligence, and Analytics.
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience within an organization, particularly in Controlling, closely tied to strategic and business operations.
  • Capability to translate strategy, operations, and performance into manageable metrics through relevant non-financial KPIs and driver models.
  • Preferred experience in online and marketplace sectors, focusing on growth rather than consolidation.
  • Strong leadership abilities both vertically and horizontally:
    • Vertical: Supervise three senior department heads (BI, Analytics, and Controlling) and manage approximately 45 team members.
    • Horizontal: Communicate effectively with executives and unit leaders, recognized as a thought leader, and lead from a cross-functional standpoint.
  • Demonstrated competence in company-wide project management.
  • Thought leadership in strategy and business, extending beyond mere functional expertise.
  • Ability to interpret and influence strategy and business through quantitative analysis and transparency.
  • Proficient English language skills are essential.
