Your Role

In close collaboration with the executive team, business divisions, and corporate functions, you will be responsible for:

  • steering strategic initiatives within the ZEISS Group
  • serving as the catalyst for project roadmaps aligned with ZEISS's strategic vision
  • assessing emerging technological domains in partnership with research & development and business units
  • examining ZEISS's core strengths and uncovering market opportunities and trends
  • directing critical strategic projects and executing essential initiatives to enhance growth, international presence, and digital transformation, positioning ZEISS as a leader in the global market

Your duties will also encompass planning, monitoring, organizing, and budgeting for projects, as well as managing high-level communications and stakeholder engagement.

Your Profile

  • A degree with outstanding academic performance in natural sciences, engineering, or business administration; a PhD or MBA is advantageous
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a top-tier management consultancy or in corporate strategy roles
  • Extensive expertise in market and competitive analysis, as well as technology and innovation management
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams and managing complex projects
  • Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to think outside the box
  • A passion for working in agile environments with diverse, interdisciplinary teams, coupled with strong communication abilities
  • A keen interest in innovation and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus
