We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our team and play a crucial role in our clients' multi-billion dollar program.
Job Description:
As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for developing and managing cost estimates for resource extraction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance professionals to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting of project costs while applying your expertise to identify cost-saving opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for resource extraction projects, including equipment, labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather input and incorporate various factors into cost estimates.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports and presentations to management and stakeholders.
- Identify potential cost risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
- Mentor and guide junior estimators in best practices and estimation techniques.
- Stay updated on industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices related to resource extraction and cost estimation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost estimating within large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation software and tools.
- Proven track record of managing complex cost estimates for large-scale projects.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
