In this pivotal role, you will oversee a diverse team engaged with various stakeholders, providing guidance on both operational and strategic matters.
You will champion development initiatives while ensuring adherence to quality standards.Your leadership will inspire your team, facilitate employee growth, manage workforce planning, prioritize challenges, and coordinate with clients and related departments, thereby ensuring the effective and swift execution of intricate development projects in the realm of industrial steam turbine design.
Key Responsibilities- Drive product and technology innovation for comprehensive component design of industrial steam turbines
- Lead a globally responsible team within the industrial steam turbine network
- Oversee design and optimization efforts, collaborating with the calculation department for component layout and development roadmap enhancement
- Formulate and refine design guidelines for the development and order fulfillment of industrial steam turbine components
- Manage the conception, execution, and support of research and development initiatives in partnership with external research entities and within the Siemens Energy international engineering framework
- Provide support to various sectors including procurement, manufacturing, assembly, order processing, and sales through your leadership and team
- Foster continuous development of your team in both technical and non-technical skills
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive professional and project experience in designing high-stress machine components, ideally with leadership roles
- Strong expertise in design, preferably in turbo machinery, complemented by foundational knowledge in turbo machinery, structural mechanics, dynamics, durability, aerodynamics, and thermodynamics
- Proficient in both German and English
- A flexible, assertive, and team-oriented leader with a commitment to transparent and open communication
