Student Assistant for Risk Management in Renewable Energy

Position Overview
We are seeking a Working Student to assist in Risk Management within the Solar & Batteries division of our Business Control department, located in Berlin. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with the critical aspects of project oversight and financial analysis.
As a working student in our Risk Management team, you will delve into the vital processes of identifying and managing risks linked to our solar and battery initiatives. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that projects adhere to timelines and budgetary constraints. You will acquire practical experience with risk evaluation methodologies, aid in formulating risk mitigation plans, and support the preparation of reports for upper management.
The Business Area Wind is dedicated to Vattenfall's renewable energy ventures, including both onshore and offshore wind, as well as solar and battery projects. We are actively expanding our operations in these sectors across various European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the risk management team in pinpointing potential project risks.
- Help in the creation and maintenance of risk documentation.
- Analyze risk-related data and contribute to monthly reporting for risk management.
- Engage in the organization and facilitation of risk assessment workshops.
- Collaborate with various teams to collect data and monitor the progress of risk mitigation efforts.
- Support daily operations while maintaining close communication with the Controlling Management Team.
Candidate Profile
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in German (C1 level or native speaker).
- Currently enrolled in a degree program with at least one year of studies remaining.
- A proactive approach to learning with a strong interest in risk management.
- Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Teams, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
We are looking for a motivated student who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is eager to contribute to our team. You will report directly to the team lead of Controlling for the Solar & Batteries division.
Additional Information
- Working hours: Maximum hours per week (varies during semester breaks).
- Initial engagement for a specified duration.
