About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud-Native Full Stack Developer to join our team at BASF Digital Solutions GmbH. As a key member of our product team, you will be responsible for architecting and developing cutting-edge cloud-native applications using popular open source projects and established best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and reliable cloud-native applications using software development, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
- Architect and develop modern cloud-native applications based on popular open source projects and established best practices.
- Develop backend applications using REST, gRPC/protobuf, preferably based on C#.
- Set up and maintain databases, with a focus on PostgreSQL, using operators on Kubernetes or cloud-provider specific services.
- Implement advanced DevOps approaches, designing and operating cloud-native applications based on Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, REST, gRPC, preferably utilizing GitOps approaches best on Flux, Fleet, or ArgoCD.
- Collaborate with software providers and implementation partners to deliver solutions compliant with cloud-native standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field.
- Minimum 5 years of related working experience in agile environments.
- Deep understanding of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) ecosystem and distributed system design.
- Advanced skills in at least one backend development programming language, e.g., C#, Go, C++, Rust.
- Experience in industrial production and operational technology is a plus.
- Fluent English skills and a strong drive to acquire new skills and learn about new technologies.
