As a PhD student in bioinformatics, you will contribute to our translational research program focused on cancer of unknown primary (CUP) and develop computational tools to improve tissue-of-origin prediction and molecular classification.
Your Responsibilities- Participate in the development of computational tools for tissue-of-origin prediction and molecular classification
- Analyze large CUP datasets and collaborate with clinical cancer researchers and molecular biologists
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to the advancement of cancer genomics and bioinformatics research
- Master's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field
- Strong bioinformatics analytical skills and experience with Linux/Unix command line and programming languages such as R and Python
- Ability to acquire and process data from sequencing facilities or public resources
- Profound knowledge of cancer biology and cancer genomics is a plus
