Trainee / Student Assistant in Embedded Software Predevelopment (m/f/d)

Department Overview:

At the DRÄXLMAIER Campus, specialists collaborate with students on future technologies in the automotive sector. The "Predevelopment Embedded Software" department is responsible for developing hardware-related software for electronic hardware in the predevelopment phase. This involves creating innovative prototypes and early models of all DRÄXLMAIER systems through software.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Cross-project support for developers, including the creation of bus simulations
  • Integration and testing of new tools (e.g., compilers, debuggers, unit test frameworks) in the software development process
  • Research on new bus systems and gateway functionalities in the automotive context
  • Documentation of findings

What You Should Bring:

  • Technical degree (e.g., Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
  • Experience in embedded software development and working with microcontrollers
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (C, C++, Java, C#)
  • Familiarity with build systems and continuous integration (make, gcc, git, Python) is desirable
  • Ideally, initial experience in creating bus simulations
  • Good command of German and English
