Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Category Manager - Global Procurement to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing international procurement strategies and managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement international procurement strategies to optimize supplier portfolios in technical environments.
- Evaluate tenders, conduct contract negotiations, and manage supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost improvement projects and implement them independently.
- Conduct market analysis and provide recommendations for supplier selection and optimization.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Successfully completed studies in engineering, industrial engineering, or economics.
- Negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Experience in strategic procurement projects and/or category management, preferably in an international company/matrix organization.
- Ariba knowledge advantageous, confident handling of MS-Office.
- Business fluent in English; German and Italian language skills are an advantage.
- Strong assertiveness, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and global mindset.
- Intercultural skills.
