The Production Lead is pivotal in fostering a strong workplace culture and overseeing daily operations within a high-volume preparation, processing, and assembly fulfillment center. Collaborating closely with the Operations Associate Director, you will manage the production of an innovative product line. Your responsibilities will encompass the operational logistics of the production center, cultivating a positive work environment for a diverse team, mentoring leadership personnel, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. This role is integral to a significant project for Factor, providing you with the authority to make impactful decisions for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site Leader in implementing strategic initiatives.
- Establish high standards for execution to achieve all KPIs and financial targets while supporting your team in reaching daily, weekly, monthly, and annual objectives.
- Ensure effective communication of company goals and priorities to the Production Centre team, including leading monthly meetings to engage and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Promote continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages all employees within the Production Centre.
- Provide timely feedback to both direct and indirect reports.
- Champion positive changes within the facility.
- Adapt to evolving business needs and ensure team flexibility.
- Actively listen and accept feedback; share ideas and identify concerns; communicate and hold operators accountable to the Factor brand, KPIs, and workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial kitchen or production operations center, preferably in food service or food production.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in a start-up environment, comfortable with shifting priorities, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proven ability to effectively motivate, develop, and manage a large team, as our culture is vital to our success, and you will play a key role in driving it.
- Willingness to spend significant time on the shop floor, engaging directly with all levels of staff.
- Knowledge of Lean and Agile Production, Food Manufacturing, Food Safety & Quality, and Fulfillment is preferred.
- Familiarity with FSMA, HACCP, SQF, and CFIA standards is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English and German at a business level.
