What's in store for you
As an Operations Engineer (m/w/d), you'll be responsible for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure (OpenShift, databases in Azure/AWS, and Tomcat & SQL databases in our private cloud) in the 'Data Experience' delivery team.
Here are some exciting tasks awaiting you:
- You'll optimize the existing application operation, with a focus on developing and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline.
- You'll drive the modernization and automation of our IT infrastructure and stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends.
- You'll regularly collaborate with your team and subject matter experts.
- You'll support the team in ensuring system availability and expanding the infrastructure, including interfaces.
- You'll be part of our Operations Community and help develop our Zurich Engineering Culture.
What you bring to the table
You're characterized by your intrinsic motivation, hands-on mentality, and strong communication and collaboration skills? Then apply now, and don't forget to highlight the following qualifications:
- You have knowledge of Linux and cloud infrastructures, such as Azure and AWS.
- You have experience setting up and using CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, or Bamboo, as well as experience with the Atlassian Stack (Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence) or similar tools.
- Experience with container operation using Docker, OpenShift, and Helm/Kustomize, as well as knowledge of common project management methods and tools, especially Scrum, is desirable.
- You're a communicative team player with strong networking skills and a high willingness to work customer- and service-oriented.
- Excellent German language skills in writing and speaking, and good English language skills are ideal.
