Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Cyber Security to enhance our academic offerings at IU Internationale Hochschule. This role involves part-time engagement with opportunities for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures on specialized topics within Cyber Security, including IT Security, Attack Models, and Data Protection.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, addressing their inquiries and preparing them for their future careers.
  • Conduct in-person courses and tutorials in both German and English, while also managing remote work during non-teaching periods.
  • Design and develop course materials utilizing high-quality resources provided by the institution, with flexibility for preparation and follow-up tasks.
  • Create and evaluate assessments, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of teaching materials such as scripts and videos.

Qualifications

  • A completed master's degree or doctorate in Cyber Security or a related field.
  • Relevant practical experience in Cyber Security, demonstrating expertise in the subject matter.
  • Previous experience in academic teaching roles, such as tutor, lecturer, or research assistant, is advantageous.
  • A strong passion for innovative and modern educational practices, with a commitment to student engagement.
  • Permanent residency in Germany is required.
  • Proficiency in German at the C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
