Your Role
As a Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in developing and sustaining our robust backend systems. Collaborating closely with our CTO, lead developers, and business stakeholders, you will implement new functionalities, enhance system performance, and contribute to our product strategy. This position offers a unique opportunity to advance your expertise while making a substantial impact in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain backend services utilizing Python and FastAPI.
- Optimize and manage compute-intensive workloads.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Adhere to best practices in software development, including clean coding, testing, documentation, and CI/CD.
- Engage in code reviews and support the ongoing enhancement of our development methodologies.
- Assist in improving system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Stay updated with new technologies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development, with a solid background in Python.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS is advantageous.
- Understanding of software development best practices, including version control (git), containerization (Docker), and automated testing.
- Strong analytical skills and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Ability to work in the Berlin office several days a week.
- Proficiency in English.
