About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety to join our team at MAHLE. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety efforts, ensuring the highest level of security and safety in our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety strategy and vision for the Business Unit, aligning with MAHLE's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage the Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives.
- Represent MAHLE in Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety-related matters, collaborating with internal stakeholders, business partners, and external organizations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards, regulations, and requirements, such as ISO/SAE 21434 and ISO 26262.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, and partners.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective solutions to complex problems.
- Ensure the effective management of resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of MAHLE's products, services, and business operations, applying this knowledge to drive strategic decision-making.
About You
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional with a strong background in Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety. You will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, developing and implementing successful strategies, and driving business growth and improvement.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on Engineering Development roles.
- A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge and experience in international compliance requirements, standards, and regulations, including R155, R156, ISO/SAE 21434, and ISO 24089.
- Cybersecurity Engineering and Functional Safety Professional certification.
- Proven experience in leading distributed engineering teams for Product Development Processes.
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams, including recruiting and organization design.
- Track record of delivering business and technology results for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong leadership, team development, motivation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple, related projects and navigate complex activities that span functions, organizations, regions, or cultures.
- Experience in managing executive stakeholders, information, and communication.
- Strong communication, persuasiveness, and diplomatic skills.
- Very good knowledge of German and English.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
