Category Manager for Energy Storage Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a sustainable category strategy that optimizes the value and supply security of EnBW.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technological, commercial, and market trends and opportunities in the energy storage sector.
- Work closely with our business and technical partners to develop a sustainable category strategy that meets EnBW's goals and objectives.
- Lead the development of optimized and modular solution architectures for various application scenarios.
- Manage and negotiate high-value contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure timely achievement of business, expansion, and infrastructure goals while maintaining optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) and quality.
- Drive the advancement of our supplier base in the energy storage sector, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Develop and implement action plans to continuously improve the category performance across the entire organization.
- A Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as engineering, business, law, or a related field. A higher degree or certifications are an asset.
- More than 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, with at least 3 years of experience in energy infrastructure projects and network projects or similar experience that demonstrates a good understanding of large and medium-sized infrastructure construction projects.
- Proven track record of managing procurement activities, negotiating contracts, and building strong supplier relationships to achieve the best possible solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of the industry, a good understanding of current market conditions, and the ability to analyze complex relationships and find the best technical and commercial solution based on a TCO/life cycle approach that takes into account the operational life of energy infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various teams and interest groups. A team player with strong cooperative and integrative skills, who is highly engaged in negotiations and ensures the implementation of contractually agreed-upon solutions in a rapidly developing technological and international environment.
