Senior Sales Manager - Salon Division

Position Overview:

The Senior Sales Manager for the Salon Division is tasked with overseeing, nurturing, and recruiting a dedicated sales team that caters to professional beauty establishments and educational institutions. This team is responsible for promoting the comprehensive portfolio of professional brands, including Wella Professionals, Nioxin, Sebastian, Clairol Professional, Color Charm, OPI, and GHD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Metrics: Accountable for establishing individual performance targets that align with organizational goals, ensuring the team consistently meets or surpasses sales objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Assess the skills and motivation levels of team members, customizing management strategies to develop tailored action plans for each individual.
  • People Development: Foster mastery in team development by implementing established protocols and standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain team focus on key priorities, monitor performance metrics, and lead regular sales meetings to drive results.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and industry influencers, including major salon accounts, guest artists, and educational institutions.
  • Industry Representation: Actively participate in industry associations and represent the company at professional forums, both in-person and digitally.
  • Data Management: Utilize data analytics to inform territory development, team performance, and customer engagement strategies, ensuring alignment with both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in external sales, with 3-5 years in sales team leadership
  • Proven leadership abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication capabilities
  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on deliverables and performance metrics
  • Results-driven mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 40-50%, including overnight trips
  • Valid Driver's License

Desirable:

  • Experience in the beauty industry
