Senior RME Team Lead at Amazon Logistik Oelde GmbH
Our Maintenance and Reliability Engineering Team (RME Team) is at the core of Amazon's commitment to innovation. As a Senior RME Team Lead, you will help us stay ahead of the curve by implementing the latest technologies and identifying efficient work methods. Your responsibilities include overseeing equipment operations, tracking performance, leading the technical team during shifts, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to process improvements across the EU network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment with high safety standards
- Monitor equipment performance, conduct preventive maintenance, and schedule additional maintenance as needed
- Lead and support the technical team during shifts
- Resolve equipment problems to minimize downtime
- Support continuous improvement and process standardization
A Day in the Life:
As a Senior RME Team Lead, you will supervise a maintenance team, ensure tools are functioning properly, monitor processes for compliance, and implement improvements for system efficiency. You will work on-site at one of our logistics centers, in shift models that may include nights and weekends.
About Amazon's Customer Fulfillment Team:
The Customer Fulfillment Team is the cornerstone of Amazon's operations, processing over 1.5 million orders daily. We are constantly seeking ways to offer a wider product selection delivered quickly and affordably to our customers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Industrial or Craft Master certification or relevant work experience
- Team leadership experience
- Experience with automation and conveyor maintenance
- Advanced written and spoken German, and basic English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing external contractors
- Knowledge of PLC-based control systems and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems
- Degree in a technical field or business administration
