Project Manager for Technical Procurement

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) specializing in Global Project Procurement. In this role, you will act as the key liaison for strategic procurement within development and strategic initiatives overseen by a dedicated project office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the technical and commercial link between Global Procurement, R&D, and the strategic project office
  • Ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgetary targets
  • Facilitating simultaneous engineering by engaging suppliers early in the process
  • Organizing value engineering and Design to Cost workshops
  • Conducting supplier evaluations and selection based on Total Cost of Ownership
  • Integrating new strategic and sustainable suppliers into the procurement process
  • Finalizing project-specific contracts, such as development agreements
  • Coordinating and managing procurement-related project issues
  • Assisting in make-or-buy decision processes

Your qualifications should include:

  • A degree in a technical field or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of relevant experience in project management and procurement
  • Familiarity with international suppliers
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Proficiency in both German and English
  • Experience in contract management and negotiations
  • Willingness to travel as required
