About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join our team at the Illinois CPA Society. As a key partner to our leadership and board of directors, you will play a vital role in shaping our organization's future and driving growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to our leadership and board of directors
  • Contribute to the development of our organization's future strategy and own the change
  • Prepare and implement the budget and mid-term plan
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting, controlling, treasury, legal, and tax functions to optimize efficiency and accuracy
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights into any deviations from the established plan
  • Develop and implement financial performance indicators aligned with our organization's corporate strategy and business plan
  • Lead and oversee M&A processes, ensuring smooth financial post-merger integration
  • Design a robust funding strategy and financial business plan aligned with our organizational objectives
  • Elaborate, implement, and oversee tax and financial optimization strategies
  • Forecast and monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and oversee inventory alongside production and sales colleagues
  • Play a vital role in our organization's digital transformation, develop and execute the digitalization roadmap, and manage all group IT functions
  • Advocate for data literacy and foster a data-driven culture, leveraging insights to drive business outcomes

About the Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with a University degree in business administration (finance, accounting, or related) and extensive and diverse professional background as a CFO in a small- to mid-cap company. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the manufacturing sector, a track record of M&A transactions and post-merger integrations, and a strategic and commercially minded approach. Additionally, the candidate should have an empathetic, inspiring leadership style, acting like a true team player, and fluency in both German and English.
